Argentinean-born Ignacio Longo is the Vice President and one of the principal designers at Spectrasonics. His signature sound graces thousands of sounds he’s created that are used daily by music creators all over the world in Omnisphere, Trilian, Stylus RMX, and Keyscape.
Ignacio’s fascination with synthesizers and computer music started early in his childhood, alongside his classical piano training. After years of conservatory studies and performing in the local Buenos Aires scene, he earned a scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music where he studied Composition and Music Synthesis. Upon moving to Los Angeles after graduation, his diverse music interests led him to produce and remix several artists, contribute sound design for Roland, and work on soundtracks for award-winning TV shows and film scores. Notably, Ignacio composed "Liliana’s Theme" for the Oscar-winning Best Foreign Film The Secret in Their Eyes, a piece that was also featured during the Academy Awards ceremony.
Ignacio is the visionary and creator behind Undercurrent™, one of the original four Sonic Extensions launched for Omnisphere.
